Dorothy L (Morgan) Barkley

Dorothy L. Barkley (Morgan), 86, passed away December 5, 2015.

She was born and lived in Akron most of her life. Dorothy married Frederick C. Barkley and spent her life as a homemaker and raising her family. She enjoyed music, painting and vacationing at the beach. Dorothy was a member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church where she enjoyed flower arranging as a member of the Alter Guild. Dorothy was also a member of committees and board at the Tallmadge YWCA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; brother, Robert Morgan.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Larry C. (Nancy) Barkley of Diamond, Daniel L. (Amy) Barkley of Petersburg; daughter, Nancy (Martin) Aho of Munroe Falls; grandchildren, Alex (Dana) Barkley, Benjamin (Susanna) Barkley, Christopher Barkley, Eric Aho, and Ryan Aho; sister in law, Jean Morgan; nieces, Kathy, Karen (John) Tremain and grandniece, Lisa Tremain.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home following visitation with Rev. Dr. William Liming officiating.

Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.

The family would like to invite family and friends to a luncheon at the church after the graveside service.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N. Munroe Road, Tallmadge.
