Dorothy (Hunger) Sipe

Dorothy (Hunger) Sipe, age 90, of Tallmadge, Ohio, died peacefully December 26, 2015.

Born July 3rd, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in North Hill, Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Hower Vocational High School and Gerber Beauty School as a Beautician. She moved to Tallmadge, Ohio with her husband and created a loving home for her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

She joins her loving husband of 62 years, Barrett Sipe; parents, Alexander and Theresa Hunger; sister, Marie Carlson; brother, Leonard Hunter; and grand daughter Robin Sipe, in heaven. She is survived by her beloved children, John Barrett Sipe of Aurora, Colorado, Nancy Erickson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Julie (Warren) Villalovos of Denver, Colorado, Barbara Sipe of Tallmadge, and Kathleen (John) Arther of Hudson, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; Michael (Karen) Lehmicke, Lynne (Austin)  Szatkowski and John Erickson, Angela (Ryan) Goss, Alexis (Jason) Johnson, Natalie and Jacob Waddle, Brady Sipe, Emily, Alex and Clarice Arther and five great-grandchildren; Madeline, Allison and Katherine Goss, Annalise Arther, and Cora Szatkowski.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Funeral services will be following at 6 p.m. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family at Tallmadge Cemetery.
