E. Maxine Winters

E. Maxine Winters, 84, passed away December 26, 2017. Born in  Barnesville, Ohio, she lived in the Akron area for over 50 years before moving to Pennsylvania.

Maxine retired from Summit County Children Services with over 25 years of service. She was a member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed word search puzzles and playing cards with her friends and family. For many years of their retirement, Maxine and Derbert spent the winters in North Fort Myers, enjoying time with family and other long-time friends from Ohio and elsewhere.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Derbert; parents, John and Mary Logan; sisters, Anna Albaugh, Lenora Bensen.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Sally (Robert) Lewis of Upper St. Clair, PA, Carol (Jonathan) Hymes of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Gladys Hager of Barnesville, Ohio, Jean Williams of Jerusalem, Ohio; brother, John Logan of Barnesville, Ohio; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to the service on Friday, There will also be a memorial service at Christ United Methodist Church, in Bethel Park, PA, on Thursday morning, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating.

Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
