Earl Leslie Ertman

Earl Leslie Ertman, 92, passed away January 3, 2025. Born in Lakewood, he lived most of his life in the Tallmadge and Akron area.

Earl retired from the University of Akron as the head of the Art Department/professor. He served in the U.S. Navy/Air Force. Earl loved visiting flea markets and enjoyed traveling to Egypt and going on digs.  He visited over 20 times and discovered KV-63. Earl also enjoyed listening to Lutheran hour every Sunday on the radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ertman.

Earl is survived by his wife, Judith; sons, Kreg Ertman, Elliot Ertman; step son, Jeffery (Ashley) Williamson; step daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Ridenour; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
