An amazing man, Edward Earl Baddeley, Jr., 55, of Mogadore went home to the Lord on May 30, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
Ed was born on July 3, 1969, to Edward Baddeley, Sr., and Denise (Maurer) Beane in Salem, Ohio. A graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, Ed recently celebrated his 20 th year as a Facilities Lead at Huntington Bank where he was a much-loved and well-respected colleague. On December 3,1988, Ed married the love of his life, Denise (Halterman). From their first date, 40 years ago, on May 26, 1985, until his last breath, Ed was a devoted and caring husband. He loved their life together and cherished creating a home and raising their children.
Ed and Denise had three extraordinary sons; Jacob (Julia Kuhn) of Tallmadge, Zackery (Leah) of Randolph, and Mitchell of Columbus, who were a tremendous source of pride for their father. In 2015, Ed was blessed with the birth of a grandson, Jaxson, who loved his "Papa" very much.
Ed was enthusiastic about Ford vehicles, especially his beloved 1967 Ford Fairlane convertible. Ed's other passion was the Pittsburgh Steelers who he rooted for from the age of four. Always an "Indians" fan, Ed enjoyed many years of coaching little league baseball for his sons. Ed never met an ice cream he did not like, especially Maple Nut, which was his favorite. But his most cherished activity was vacationing in the Outer Banks with his extended family every other year. Many memories were made, and laughs were had sometimes at Ed's expense.
Besides his parents, wife, sons and grandson, Ed leaves behind his bonus Mom, Kathy Kennedy of Sebring; stepmother, Janet Baddeley of Sebring; father in-law, Ramon Muniz of Sebring; sisters, Kim (Chris) Miller of Sebring, Stacey Baddeley of North Carolina, Heather (Morgan) Croft of Georgia, Kali Beane of Canton, Kati Beane of North Canton; sisters-in-law, Gina Evans of Mogadore and Shelly (Scott) Weiland of Ravenna; brothers-in-law, William (Laura) Halterman of Colorado and James Halterman of Akron.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Christine Muniz and stepfather, Paul Beane.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 4 at Noon at Donovan Funeral Home at 34 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore. Friends and family will be received two hours prior to the service from 10:00am to 12:00pm with the family present. Interment service will follow at the Chapel at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon at the Randolph Community Center following the internment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ed's favorite cause, Pelotonia, a two-day bicycle ride in Columbus to raise funds for cancer research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Ed has participated for the last 6 years, raising nearly $10,000. To donate visit: https://www.pelotonia.org/profile/EB0187
