Together Again Eldon D. Day, 87, passed away July 5, 2016. He was born in Star City, W. Va. and lived most of his life in Akron. Eldon retired from Lockheed Martin after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He loved to fish and loved his animals. Eldon was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Billitter; father, Benjamin Day; stepfather, Louis Billitter; wife, Bridget; sisters, Eileen and Doris; brothers, Arnet, Edward and Donald. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Day; son, Anthony Day Sr.; brother, David Day; sisters-in-law, Beulah Day and Leora Day; grandchildren, Melissa (Heath) Light and Anthony Day Jr. (fiancé, Brittany Pamer); great-grandchildren, Haiden, Alexis and Chelsea Light. Special thanks to Christine Day for all the loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron.
