Elizabeth "Thea" Charnas

September 11, 1936 — April 24, 2021

Elizabeth Charnas, (Thea to many), 84, went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York but lived most of her life in Akron.

She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Icarian Club, where her parents were born in Greece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Diamandes and Lemonia Charnas; sister, Kula and her nephew, Daniel.

Thea leaves behind her brother and his wife, Gus and Carol Charnas; her niece, Connie (Scott) Harget; and her two great nieces, Rachel and Gabrielle. She will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Jerry Hall officiating.

Interment will be at East Akron Cemetery.
