Elizabeth L Mason

Elizabeth L. Mason, 86, passed away May 3, 2018. Born in Akron, she had lived in the Akron/Tallmadge area.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, a teacher and retired from the Akron Board of Education.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Stalter; brothers, Thomas (Lillian) Stalter, Joseph (Bernadette) Stalter, Robert (Betty) Stalter; sisters, Mary (Harold) Musser, St. Francine Stalter O.P., M. Irene (Edward) Kouri.

Elizabeth is survived by her step daughters, Cynthia Mason, Barbara (Mike) Forfia both of Tallmadge, Deborah (Brian) Strayton of Columbus, and Karen (John) Byron of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Karen (Nick) Marino, Rachael Forfia, Scott, Kelly, and Amanda Strayton, and Allison and Andrew Byron; sister, Geraldine (Arthur) Nemeth; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
