Elva M. Hodgen

Elva M. Hodgen, 95, passed away November 5, 2015.

She was born on March 17, 1920 in Burning Springs, West Virginia.

Elva was a wonderful homemaker.  She loved watching her Cleveland Indians.  Elva enjoyed working puzzles and playing dominos with her granddaughter Anni, who will miss her best friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph; daughters, Loretta Baccarie and Shirley Surgeon; son in laws, Don Boyd, Nick Surgeon, and Raymond Baccarie; grandchildren, Doug Boyd and Ralph Surgeon; four sisters, and five brothers.

Elva is survived by her daughter, Lillie Boyd of Akron; grandchildren she raised Jim Baccarie and Anni Flahan; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren, the nieces she cared so much about, Violet, Bertha, Jean and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd., Peninsula with Rev. Steve Millar officiating.
