Emma Louise Stanfield

Emma L. Stanfield, 89, passed away peacefully October 15, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Wyano, Pennsylvania, she lived most of her life in Atwater, Ohio, before moving to Cuyahoga Falls.

She attended Somerset High School before moving to Elyria, Ohio, where she met her husband, Ron, and worked as a telephone operator. After marrying Ron, she became a housewife and cared for four children who were the center of her life in Ravenna, Ohio. Later she and her husband owned Stanfield Appliance Sales and Service in Atwater, Ohio, and became active members of Liberty Bible Church and the Atwater Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald G. Stanfield; her parents, James Russell Tipton, Cordilla Ethel Tipton (Shockey); three brothers, Charles R. Tipton (Gloria), Jacob H. Tipton (Pauline), Harold E. Tipton (Shirley); five sisters, Grace M. Thiel (Clifford), Thelma L. Ritenour (Donald), Edith Morgan (Frank), Lois Johns (Gary), Barbara A. Tipton.

Emma is survived by her children, Debora A. Ritz (Lanny), Gary A. Stanfield (Anita), Sharon M. Stanfield, Timothy J. Stanfield (Barbara); 8 grandchildren: Erin Stanfield, Christina Stanfield-Reilly (Sean), Joseph Ritz, James Ritz (Samantha Booth), Luke Fair, Hannah Fair, Joshua Stanfield, Emily Stanfield; 3 great-grandchildren: Galen Reilly, Tali Reilly, Ronan Reilly; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Special thanks to the Danbury Senior Living Cuyahoga Falls staff and friends, and to Jan and Kaylee, for the love and care they provided over the years.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life for Emma Stanfield on November 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Liberty Bible Church. We will begin with a sanctuary service at 11:00 am, followed by a meal and gathering in the Fellowship Hall. Please come share your memories of Emma with family and friends.
