Erdine (Dews) Johnson

It was with dignity and grace that Erdine (Dina) Johnson passed into her Saviors arms at the age of 80 on August 25, 2016.  She was surrounded by her family who can confirm that Dina was proof that angels really do walk on this earth.

Welcoming Dina into Heaven's gate were the loves of her life, Leo Samardeya and Harold Johnson. She will also be reunited with children, Sandy Wilson, Mitchell Johnson and her eight siblings.

Dina graduated from Kent State University and was an elementary teacher and Librarian in the Brady Lake School system for thirty years. She was actively involved in the Peace Corp and was a good and faithful servant at St. Mark Lutheran Church.  She loved to garden and everything and everyone she touched was made more beautiful through her presence.

Left to mourn her passing are daughters Kaye (Rick) Meyer and Mary (Neil) Zielinski; grandchildren, Kimberly, Patrick, Dawn Renee, Shelly, Caleb, Kaylin; and several great and great great grandchildren all of who reside in Florida.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Per Dina's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Instead the family request that when you see something beautiful in nature, remember Dina fondly and rejoice in having been her friend.
