Ernest C Walters

Ernest C. Walters, 86, passed away January 24, 2022. Born in Akron, he raised a family and lived most of his life in Tallmadge, then moved to Kent upon retirement.

Ernest graduated from Tallmadge High School and went on to become Postmaster at the Tallmadge U.S. Post Office. He also was an active member of the Tallmadge Jaycees. He loved to travel and spent 62 years summering on the shores of Long Lake in Alpena, MI. His favorite activities included boating, fishing, reading, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Virginia Walters; his wife, Diana; and his son, Steven.

He is survived by his son, Michael Walters (Laura Bartlett), of Lancaster, CA; daughter-in-law, Flo Cunningham, of Stow; and brother, Jerry Walters, of Franklin, TN.

Per Ernest's wishes, there will be no service.
