Ervin M Knisely

Ervin M. Knisely, 91, passed away November 21, 2025 surrounded by his children. Born in Fairview, WV, he lived the last 50 years in the Cuyahoga Falls area.

Ervin's entire career was in the rubber industry, spending several years working abroad in Africa and Pakistan.  He retired from Midwest Rubber as a Plant Manager after 36 years of service.

He had an incredible sense of humor and loved to laugh.  He thoroughly enjoyed a rousing game of cards with the family, loved golfing with friends in his younger years, and was an avid reader and dog lover.  He was cherished by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Judith; parents, Edward and Minnie Knisely.

Ervin is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Terry) Ake; son, David Knisely; grandchildren, Rachel and Tyler (Kristen) Ake; brother, Carl (Marion) Knisely of MI; extended family, nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

A brief funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will be at East Liberty Cemetery, 740 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron.
