Erwin L Herman, Phd

November 21, 1944 — April 21, 2016

Erwin L. Herman, P.H.D., 71, passed away April 21, 2016. Born in Keyser, WV, he lived in Kent since 2014.

Erwin served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired as CEO from Barco and Planar Company. He was a professor at Portland State University in System Science, loved to mountain climb and was a car enthusiast, scholar and avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Naomi Herman.

Erwin is survived by his wife, La Donna; daughters, Erin Hoffman of Dublin, Brittany (Peter) Kusky of Austintown; son, Judah (Jacqueline) Herman of Loveland; brothers, Gary Herman of Tallmadge and Jeffrey (Karina) Herman of Florida.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at Tallmadge Cemetery with Pastor Cary  Wadle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maranatha Village, 233 East Norton Road, Springfield, MO. 65803 (AG Retired Ministers Home).
