Eugene Gsellman

Eugene Gsellman, 87, passed away peacefully at his home on November 6, 2015.

Eugene was born on September 2, 1928 in Akron. He served in the U.S. Army and began his career with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where he met his wife, Donna.  They settled in Tallmadge to raise their family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Donna.

Eugene is survived by his daughters, Jane Gsellman of Stow and Karen (Walt) Satterfield of Brimfield; and granddaughter, Alayna Satterfield; grandson, Sean (Melissa) Satterfield.

His daughters are so thankful he was able to spend his remaining days in the comfort of his home. They would like to especially thank Jenny from Crossroads Hospice and also Sandy and Cassandra from Visiting Angels for their compassionate and loving care of Dad.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle)

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 10,  2015 at Zion Lutheran High Street Church, 139 S. High St., Akron with Pastor Josh Schoon officiating.

Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
