Eva Katherine (Gant) Lowry

Eva Katherine Gant Lowry, the daughter of R. Daley and Edna Lillian Gant, was born on July 26, 1926. She passed away on March 23, 2017.

Eva was one of two girls born into the family of seven boys, so there was always a big brother looking out for her.  In 1947, she married the love of her life, Robert Lowry. Eva and her husband built their home in 1960 and were long-time residents of Tallmadge, Ohio. She excelled in being the best homemaker, making her own clothes, canning, gardening and baking, never wanting to give out family secret recipes. She had an extensive collection of music boxes from her many travels and loved to play the piano. Eva enjoyed volunteering at the Randolph Fair and the local school. One of her passions was the Rubber City Harmonica Club, where she enjoyed playing at various functions and dressing in costume for the many different events. She enjoyed camping, and had a fondness of taking rides and exploring local attractions. Eva had a special love for family and attended all the family reunions, 51 to be exact. She was loved by many nieces and nephews, and always took family pictures to preserve the memories for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and six brothers.

Eva is survived by her sister, Mary Ahrens; brother, Charles Gant; sisters in law, Ann Gant and Linda Gant. Special thanks to Heather Mikulski and Crystal Wagner for their love and care.

Calling hours will be 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge, Ohio.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
