Evelyn J. Zampino (Wasserman) passed away suddenly on Dec. 30, 2014.

She was born in Akron, Ohio where she spent her entire life. She was a graduate of Central High School. Having studied dancing for many years, she pursued a career as a professional dancer in the United States and Canada.  After retiring from dance she continued with an office career.  Evelyn studied painting and had a special interest and talent in scenic oil paintings.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Zampino, and parents, Harold J. and Esther J. Wasserman. She leaves two sisters, Dolores Griesinger and Marilyn Borowicz; Brother-in-law, Joseph (Georgiann) Zampino; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to the family, she will be missed by many friends.

There will be no calling hours. Per her request, cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio. Private Burial will be held at a later date.
