Francis Au Foo Weng

Frances Au Foo Weng, 72 passed away December 5, 2021.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Francis had lived in the Akron area since 1980.  He was self-employed as a landscape architect and retired in 2016.  He also lectured on landscape design at the University of Akron. Francis attended Kent State Newman Center and St. Matthew Parish Catholic Church. He founded the Sunday Afternoon Garden Club and was a long-time member of the Men's Garden Club of Akron and the Greater Akron Aquarium Society. Francis was an avid animal lover. He loved his Pekinese puppies, his birds and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Au Ah Wah and Vu Siew Chin and sister, Theresa.

Francis is survived by his dear friend, Susan Boyd of Kent; daughter, Marie Dalton of Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy, Monica, Hillary, and Elisabeth; brothers, Michael, Joseph and Bernard, and many friends.
