Frank George Horak, 80, passed away on March 9, 2025, after an extended illness. He was born in Akron, Ohio to John and Anne Horak on May 24, 1944.

He graduated from Mogadore High School in 1962 and headed to Los Angeles, California where he earned an associate's degree from El Camino College and welcomed his first born, Dorenda on January 1. He also attended Kent State University working toward an accounting degree. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 25 years as a cost accountant.

Frank lived most of his life in Mogadore, Ohio. He was a devoted Wildcats football fan having played on the team in high school. Frank was the 4th of 6 children and enjoyed seeing his siblings every Sunday at "Grandma Horak's" back in the day. He loved cars and had several mid-60s Mustangs over the years that he was proud of although he never kept one for long as he enjoyed many years of fixing up, buying and selling cars along with his brothers.

In his later years, he enjoyed buying and selling collectibles, especially toys, and attending the Hartville Flea Market frequently. Frank was known for his big smile and goofy sense of humor. Both qualities helped him win friends at the nursing home and he always kept his sister Joan laughing during her visits even as his illness progressed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lilian Johnston; brother-in-laws, Curtis Sharp Jr, David Sharp, Gene Johnston (Lilian), Gelen Davis (Cheryl); and sister-in-law, Madelynne Horak (Tom).

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Sandra Horak (Sharp); daughters, Dorenda Demyan (Dan), Kerri Libby, Elizabeth Stober (Tim), Francesca Lucas (Carl) and Amanda Garretson (David); grandchildren, Daniel, Darielle, Adam, Ian, Autumn, Kyle, Presley, Capri and Race. He is also survived by his siblings, John Horak Jr., Tom Horak, Charles Horak and Joan Tedrick (Greg); and sister-in-law, Cheryl Davis. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews that loved their "Uncle Frank".

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral services.

He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore with a private graveside service.
