Frank J. Polefrone, 87, passed away October 9, 2015.
Born in Akron, Frank had lived in Tallmadge since 1960. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired in 1987 from SCM Corporation. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, VFW, the Sponsi Club and Stock Club. He enjoyed family gatherings and walking at Chapel Hill Mall with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Sue Katanic, Vivian Patrino, and Amelia Dallas; brothers, Nicholas and Phillip Polefrone.
Frank is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Anne (Michael) Panaia of Munroe Falls, Susan Nesbitt of Mogadore, Nancy (Alex) Stanwick of Silver Lake and Christine (Robert) Haney of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Lisa Lambert, Daniel (Diana) Panaia, Amanda Panaia, Kellie (Jeffrey) Ballenger, Zachary Haney, Bobby (Missy) Haney, Alex Stanwick IV, Samantha Haney, and Sydney Stanwick; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Rita Grescovich of Cuyahoga Falls and Elizabeth Hill of North Canton; brother, Joseph (Dorothy Mae) Polefrone of Cuyahoga Falls and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
