Freda Mae (Fry) Smyth

Freda Mae Smyth (Fry), 90, passed away December 14, 2016. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in Green.

Freda was a Secretary in the Nursing Service Office at Akron City Hospital. She was an active member with Maranatha Bible Church and the Tallmadge Lions.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Fry; second husband, Arldon Smyth; son, James P. Fry; parents, Porter and Ruth Knight; brother, Fred Knight.

Freda is survived by daughter, Karen (Mike) Jacobs; sons, Timothy (Deb) Fry and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Fry; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister in law, Ruth Knight.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Road, Akron Ohio with Pastor Don Rohrbacher officiating.

Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
