Gary Michael Flasco, age 72, passed away unexpectedly in his beloved home. He was born July 19, 1949 in Akron Ohio. Gary attended Hoban High School, The University of Akron, and The Ohio State University Dental School.

He practiced dentistry privately in Akron for nearly 50 years, in his later years becoming an instructor at The Ohio State University dental residency program.

He was a loving father and husband to his three sons and wife of 43 years, the late Mary Margaret. He was an avid cyclist and hiker taking advantage of the outdoors and surrounding parks any chance he could. He continued to be a student throughout his entire life of any subject with which he was engaged. He could fix anything. He had a brilliant, sometimes not so brilliant sense of humor.  He had an affinity for all things mechanical, loved music, art, architecture, and anything creative that caught his eye.

He is survived by his three sons Kevin(Jennifer), Andrew, and Mathew (Laura), granddaughter Paige, great grandson Lucki, brother Ray (Diane), niece Laura (Tim) and countless friends, family, patients, and colleagues.

Per Gary's wishes, there will not be any services or calling hours, cremation has taken place, arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hennessy Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
