CALLING HOURS AND SERVICE CHANGED TO TUESDAY, JANUARY 18 BECAUSE OF THE SNOW STORM.

Gayle Yvonne Basilli, age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  Gayle was born in Akron on December 2, 1937, the daughter of Blair and Grace Brown. She was a retired secretary and a member of Blessed Trinity Church.  She loved to watch sports and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Romeo Basilli on December 24, 1972. Gayle will always be remembered lovingly by her children Ronald Basilli of Akron, David Basilli (wife Lauren) of Fairlawn, and Lisa Basilli-Kuzniar (husband Tom), of North Ridgeville. She is also survived by her grandson Corey Davis of Akron, and her beloved dog Bailey.

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm at Hennessey Funeral Home, corner of York and Main, 552 N. Main Street, Akron, on Tuesday, January 18.

Friends will be received from 11 am until the time of the service.
