George J. Hengle, Iii

Son of George and Mary (Lynch) both deceased, was born January  2, 1940. He lived all his life in the Akron and Barberton area. He died on December 26, 2018 after a long battle with the side-effects of diabetes. He was custodian at St. Augustine's Church and care-taker of St. Augustine Cemetery over 25 years.

George leaves behind his spouse, Helen; sons, David (Sissi), Robert (Mandy), George (Carole), Thomas (Bridget); step-daughters, Christine, Amy, Jill; 10 grandchildren as well as his sister, Joan Jacobs and brothers, Fr. John and Robert.

George will be remembered for his feisty spirit, his love for children and puppy dogs, golf and boating. He won't miss all that snow plowing! George wished to give a special thank you to his friends at Hilltop: Krystal, Tammy and Steve for their many kindnesses to him.

Calling hours will be 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m.
