George A. Richards

George A. Richards, 83, passed away October 2, 2016. Born in Carlos, Maryland, he lived in the Tallmadge area most of his life.

George served in the U.S. Army, retired from Dominion East Ohio as a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician and was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge. He enjoyed working on cars. There was nothing he couldn't fix. George was a fan of baseball, the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed watching his grandkids play baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Goldie Richards; brothers, Jack, Wilbert and Raymond.

George is survived by his wife, Rosemary; daughters, Lynn (Biff) Baker of Munroe Falls, Denise (Jim) Cochran of Tallmadge, Diane (Mark) Jackson of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Zaher, David (Christine) Baker, Emily Baker (Phil Memmen), Jim (Liz) Cochran, Joe Cochran (Meghan Pearson), Aaron Jackson, Nathan Jackson, Noah Jackson; great grandchild, Adelea Baker; sister, Goldie Lee (William) Speir; brothers, Tom (Pat) Richards, David (Sheila) Richards, Donald (Dot) Richards all of Carlos, Maryland; sisters in law, Carol (Paul) Jursik, Sandy Starkey, Joyce Starkey, Lorraine Richards, Ardith Richards; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. (TODAY) Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
