George Serba, 74, of Stow, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, craftsmanship, and love.
George was the founder and proud owner of Pooltown, the pool installation company he built and ran alongside his beloved wife, Debbie, for more than 40 years. What began as a small business in the 1970's (Serba Pool Services) grew into a trusted name in the community, known for custom pools that blended beauty, function, and quality. Under George's leadership, Pooltown earned multiple gold awards in recognition of its excellence and innovation in design.
A true craftsman at heart, George poured his soul into every project, treating each backyard like his own. He believed in doing things the right way, standing behind his work, and making customers feel like family. His dedication and pride in his work left a lasting mark on hundreds of homes and on the people who were fortunate to know him.
Outside of work, George loved to travel and made time to enjoy the rewards of his labor Whether it was the bright lights of Las Vegas, the beaches of Hawaii and Aruba, or relaxing on a cruise, he cherished these moments with Debbie and their many friends. His sense of adventure and appreciation for life's simple pleasures were just some of the qualities that made him so deeply loved.
George is survived by his devoted wife and business partner, Debbie; sister, Bernadette Serba; brother in law, Ralph Brunnett, Sr.; niece, Hollie (Adam) Krenz; nephew, Ralph (Amanda) Brunnett, III; great nieces and nephews, Christian, Briley Emma, Evan; and many friends.
He will be remembered as a loyal husband, a dedicated business owner, a respected member of the community, devout parishioner and a man who made dreams come true – one pool at a time.
