Obituary

George Junior Wilson peacefully passed away on September 27, 2014.

George was born on December 15, 1923 in Sebring, Ohio, the son of the late George W. and Helen R. (Crowl) Wilson.

George is survived by three children, their spouses and seven grandchildren: Greg and Diane (Farmer) Wilson of Wadsworth, Ohio and their three sons, Grant, Griffin and Grady; Terry and Valerie (Wilson) Gaither of Bluffton, S.C. and their three children, Kellee, Trent and Jordan; Doug and Susan (Breedlove) Wilson of Sebring, Ohio and their son, Ty Breedlove; and sister, Helen Abmyer of Alliance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Pearl (Deonise) Wilson and his sister, Kate Johnson.

George proudly served his country in World War II, notably in the Battle of the Bulge where his Battery D, 143rd Antiaircraft Gun Battalion received a Presidential citation for extraordinary heroism. George returned to Sebring, where he married in 1950, retired in 1985 and later moved to Mulberry Gardens in 2011 where he made many friends and will dearly be missed

.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 1 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Sebring, Ohio.
