Gerald "Jerry" Edward Wood

Gerald "Jerry" E. Wood, 84, passed away March 21, 2023. Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge.

Jerry served in the U.S. Army and retired from Goodyear Tire as an Accountant. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Maplecrest Golf Course. Jerry was very passionate about cars and loved his corvettes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wood and Ella Perrin.

Jerry is survived by his partner, Vickie; sons, Jay Wood, Barry (Cynthia) Wood, Matthew Parsons; daughter, Lisa (Adam) Phillips; grandchildren, Ciera, Jenna, Cohen, Gavin, Kayla, Chloe, Carter; and great grandchildren, Makayla, Carter, Juliet and June.

Visitation will be 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
