Geraldine "Gerry" (Stroup) Cool

Born 10-17-1927  Passed 1-18-2021

Gerry was a proud graduate of Akron Central High School, Class of 1945.  She continued with class reunions throughout her life.

Gerry is survived by the love of her life, husband of 74 years Ken Cool.

She leaves 2 daughters, Cheryl L. Ward and Joyce (Jack) Eggers; Thai daughter, Pong White; 4 grandchildren (Phil, Natalie, Tammy & Becky) and 6 great grandchildren.  Also grieving Gerry's passing is her sister, Grace Metzler and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Gerry has been welcomed by her Lord and Savior as well as with her parents, Sam and Lottie Stroup; siblings, Al and Katie Stroup, Jim and Eleanor Stroup, Jay Metzler.

Gerry lived in Tallmadge, Ohio most of her adult life.  She and Ken attended The Tallmadge United Methodist Church and have many friends there.  They moved to Copeland Oaks Retirement Community in Sebring, Ohio several years ago.

There are so many heartfelt thank you's & it seems impossible to capture everyone.  Tara & The Copeland Oaks Memory Care Unit are loved and appreciated.  Jan Fugate, RN with Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care has been a gift direct from the Lord above!

Any Memorial Donations may be sent to Copeland Oaks Community in Sebring, OH (Memory Care Unit or Crandall Nursing Facility) OR directly to Aultman Hospice & Palliative Care.

Calling Hours are scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2021 from 11am-12pm followed by a service at noon at the Donavon Funeral Home: 17 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge, OH.

Burial will be at the Tallmadge City Cemetery.
