Family memories we wish to share with the world and God…
"To my loving wife of seventy years, thanks for the wonderful journey we have taken together. My love for you is eternal and never ending. I know that God will keep you safe until we can be together again. With all my love, Don."
"I want to thank you for always being willing to make tarts with the berries I found in the woods. I will miss you. I love you with all my heart. Daniel"
"Mom, I will miss the love, support and care that I have received from you my whole life. I hope that God has given you a soft comfortable chair, a warm blanket and plenty of yarn so you can continue crocheting hats for the angels. Love you, Mark"
"Dearest Glenna, thank you for being such a sweet soul. Your love, kindness and generosity have touched so many people in so many ways. You have no idea how many of those people you have touched are better off for having known you. Over three hundred children, which are now teenagers and young adults, were blessed with at least one day a week with COOKING with GRANDMA SIMMONS! Every one of those days with you and the children gave me so much personal peace. I love you mom. Love, Barbara"
"When her grandchildren were young, Glenna spent one day a week helping with cooking, caring for the house, and picking them up from school to ease their parents' stress. Giving love through action – sometimes in seemingly small but always meaningful and lasting ways – was her most charming quality and superpower. The crocheted winter hats she gifted will keep heads warm throughout the greater Akron are for many winters to come, as will her love in the hearts of those she cherished. With all my love Wesley"
"My grandma was a beautiful constant in my life. She was right next door – always there to share a wave through the kitchen window, and only a few feet away for either a cup of sugar or a hug. She was a cherished part of my everyday routine, bringing warmth and love to my house completing it making it home. The Christmas cactus she gave me will continue to bloom, just like her memory will in my heart. With love, Aaron."
"Thank you Grandma for being an incredible source of love, guidance and inspiration in my life with your beautiful soul. I will forever cherish the memories of baking cookies together, hiking the Metro Parks in the fall, and learning how to crotchet from you. You truly were a one-in-a million grandma and will be missed dearly! Love always, Penni."
