Graciela Muñoz

Graciela Muñoz, 103, passed away June 14, 2026. Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, she lived in Tallmadge for the last 24 years.

She was an Elementary School teacher, loved to dance and enjoyed taking care of plants and flowers. Graciela was devoted to the Catholic Church and a volunteer with Proyecto Raices which taught immigrant children Spanish.

She was preceded by husband, Wilfredo; parents, Issac and Angelica Cadima; sisters, Aida (Ranulfo) Torrico, Norah (Ruperto) Herboso, Blanca Cadima; and brother, Rene (Isabel) Cadima.

Graciela is survived by daughter, Mirtha (Edwin) Velasquez; sons, Willy Oscar (Amanda) Muñoz, Rolando (Mirtha) Muñoz, Johnny Muñoz; grandchildren, Anthony Muñoz, Scarlett Muñoz, Franco Muñoz, Laura Velasquez, Graciela Hernandez, Kriss Angela Muñoz, Diego Aaron Muñoz, Johnny A. Muñoz, Ian Carlos Muñoz; great grandchildren, Victoria Hernandez, Valentina Hernandez, Miamore Cohen, Elliot Muñoz, Stephan Mateo, Jacob Ramirez, Karina Roman; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave., Akron, OH.  To honor Graciela's vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests that attendees wear white or light, joyful colors.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the church with Rev. Fr. Christopher Zerucha officiating.

A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the Mass of Christian Burial downstairs at the church.
