Gregory Scott Peters, 66, passed away unexpectedly while hunting in New Mexico on November 5, 2024, of natural causes. He is now with the Lord and with his parents, Walter and Genevieve, who preceded him.
Born in Akron, Greg grew up in Mogadore and lived in Tallmadge. He was a devoted father, husband, and friend. Greg was a successful business owner and used cutting-edge technology to stay at the forefront of his industry. While he was an avid hunter and spent time hunting across the Unites States as well as places such as Canada and South Africa, his first love and greatest passion was fishing. During summer months, you could find him walleye fishing on Lake Erie every Sunday. He took many trips deep sea fishing in places such as Costa Rica and the Florida Keys with friends and family. He was also a patron of aviation and supported the non-profit, Inspire Aviation, through the Props and Pistons festival.
Above all, his greatest pride and joy are his girls, Amanda and Caroline. Throughout the years, he touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Greg is survived by his wife, Sheri, daughters, Amanda and Caroline and sister, Claudia Peters.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge.
Funeral Service to follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Springer officiating.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Inspire Aviation. This non-profit provides educational opportunities to students interested in aviation in the Akron area.
