Gretchen Lynne (Walker) Gilmore

Gretchen Lynne Gilmore, 55, passed away February 15, 2022.

Born in Barberton, Gretchen has lived most of her life in the Akron area.  She was a dedicated manager with Giant Eagle since 2004. She loved antiquing, going to craft shows, and rewatching her favorite shows and movies. She took special pride in cooking for her family and packing "granny bags" for her grandchildren.  She was a wonderful provider for her family and will be deeply missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Walker; mother, Roberta (Doug) Cox; and daughter in law, Marie Walker.

Gretchen is survived by her husband, Fred Gilmore Jr.; son, Mark Walker; daughters, Sarah (Chris) Schlosser and Erin (Rodney) Bailey; step son, Josh (Nellie) Gilmore; step daughters, Rachelle (Derik) Floyd and Jamee Blair; grandchildren, Ryan, Jadin, Carson, Piper and many others; sisters, Sheila Richardson ("Olive You"), Devin Hetrick, Patty (Rodger) Essary; beloved cats "Her Boys" as she called them, Russell, Maxwell and Simon and many loved nieces and nephews.
