Constantine, 95, passed away October 17, 2013. He was a lifetime resident of the Akron area. Gus founded Constantine Florist in 1943 and later Flowers by Gus retiring in 2009. He received a scholarship for singing to The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and for many years followed his talent by performing for Goodyear in many of their operettas. Gus was a member of Fairlawn Country Club for 61 years where he was an avid golfer and Gin player. He also was a member of Kiwanis, Masons and Shriner's.

Preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Angelo; brothers, Amos, Fred, and John, Gus is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Anna Marie (Fred) Frederick Jr.; grandchildren, Jeff (Debbie) and Jason (Melissa) Frederick; great-grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Jordan, Tyler, Ryan, Lauren and Lindsey Frederick.

There will be no calling hours, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those desiring, donations may be made to the Fairlawn Country Club Foundation for Scholarships.
