Harold H. Hawk, 81, went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2017. Born in Burton, he grew up in Goodyear Hts. before moving to Brimfield in 1977.
Harold served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Sargent, retired from General Tire after 22 years and was President with H & W Garage Doors retiring after 30 years. He was a graduate of the East High Orientals and was a member of The Chapel, where he served as an usher, was involved with the Fellowheirs ABF and the Chapel Cancer Care. Harold also attended the First Baptist Church of Frostproof in Florida, where he was a winter resident of Lake Wales, FL. He also was a member of the Portage Summit Field & Stream and The Julian's Breakfast Bunch.
Preceded in death by his parents, Burchard and Inez Hawk; sister, Rose Bach; brother, Gary Hawk.
Harold is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie; sons, Mark Hawk of California, Todd Ekmark of Brimfield; sisters, Esther Ekmark, Netha Gussey, Sharon Billings; brothers, Guy Hawk, Rick Hawk; brother in law, Roy (Dona) Powell and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral Service will be at 3:00 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Isaac Van Epps officiating.
Interment will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Frostproof, PO Box 327, Frostproof, FL 33843-0327.
