Helen Thompson

Helen Thompson passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 22, 2025.

Helen was born in 1931 in Palmerton, PA, where she resided until 1950 when she moved to Springfield Township in Akron with her beloved husband, Robert. She worked for 20 plus years at Little Forest Nursing Home, where she assisted with their laundry services. Some of Helen's favorite hobbies included gardening in her flowerbeds, watching the deer, hummingbirds, and looking out at the lake by her house. She also enjoyed going on walks, and watching the Cavaliers and Indians.

Helen is now reunited with her mother, Anna and father, Onufrey (Mike) Boruch; her loving husband, Robert Thompson (Pappy) of 56 years; sisters, Mary Spadt and Olga Mironik; brothers, Wasyl Boruch and Paul Boruch; grandson, Mike; and niece, Barbara.

Helen was a loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her sons, Robert (Butch) (Shirley)Thompson of Akron OH, Johnnie (Carol-Anne) Thompson of Fort Myers FL and Daniel (Jackie) Thompson of Tallmadge OH; grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Johnnie, Monica, Jordan, Nicholas and her special granddaughter, Alexandra; great grandchildren, Mandie, Chase and Logan; and niece, Gloria Newhard of Danielsville, PA.

Graveside Funeral Service at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 2025 at Tallmadge Cemetery.
