Irene (Mitchell) Wyszynski

Grace Irene Wyszynski (née Mitchell), 90, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023 after a short illness, surrounded by her family.

After graduation from the University of Akron, Irene taught briefly at Copley High School before marrying Stan and starting their family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Grace Mitchell, her beloved son, Thomas Joseph, and great granddaughter Mia McKerrihan.

Irene is survived by Stan, her loving husband of 68 years; children Stephen (David Miles), Richard (Colleen), Deborah, David (Fran), Susan Stephens (John), Carol Ihasz (Bob), Matthew (Beth), and Robert (Sara), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in the main chapel at the Village of St. Edwards 3131 Smith Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333 with Rev. John Valencheck officiating.

The family will receive condolences at 10:00 AM in the chapel before Mass.

The family would like to thank Senior Helpers, especially cherished friend Linda Hull, and Jessica & Sarah of Northeastern Ohio Hospice.
