Jack J. Nagel, 84, passed away March 3, 2021. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge.
Jack served in the Navy as a Naval Officer during Peace time. Jack was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan. He retired from Standard Register after working all his life in sales. Jack was a member of The First Congregational Church of Tallmadge where he served as a Deacon and sang in the church choir. He enjoyed traveling with mom to various college campuses around the country just because and because of his need to collect a ball cap from each university to add to his vast collection. He enjoyed singing and playing the piano. But above all, he loved his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marjorie Nagel; brother, Charles and sister, Marilou (Zimmerman).
Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Tamlyn); daughter, Judy (Richard) LaMancusa, daughter, Sue (Mike) Canavan, son, Tom and daughter, Shelli (Bruce) Bassett. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anthony and Chris LaMancusa, Ryan (Toni), Mike (Tori) and Nate Canavan, Landon and Sophie Nagel and Sydney and Samuel Bassett.
Private interment were held by the family. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the scholarship fund in his name at the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge.
A special thank you goes out to all the doctors and nurses for all the fine care and attention dad received while being treated at Summa Health.
