Jack Edward Williams, 69, passed away November 25, 2022.

Born November 3rd, 1953 in Akron, Jack was a proud Tallmadge resident and retired from the Tallmadge Police Department in 2002 after 20 years of service as a patrol officer, detective and patrol sergeant. Prior to his years with Tallmadge, he was a Deputy Sheriff with the Summit County Sheriff's Office from 1979-1982. He was employed as a patrol officer for the city of Akron Parks and Recreation from 1978-1979. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1978 as a military police officer. After his retirement from Tallmadge Police Dept he worked part time for Akron Children's Hospital.

Jack graduated from East High School in 1972 and attended the University of Akron majoring in Criminal Justice before joining the military.

Jack was a member of the Masons, NRA, FOP, and American Legion. He enjoyed family day every Sunday. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and traveling with his wife. He especially liked New Orleans and Mississippi and the great seafood buffets :)

Jack is survived by his wife Jean; children Rachel (Shawn) Nicholson, Paul Williams, Eric and Jason Waddell; grandchildren, Angus, Alex, Jack, William, Gage, Elizabeth, Jordan, Brittanie, Nattalie, Emillie and Alissa; sister, Claudia Leacoma. Also survived by brother-in-laws, Greg and John Coast, sister-in-law Sandi Coast, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise (Condley) and father Jack R. Williams.

Williams, his Uncle Ed Condley, his Aunt Lucille Kelly, and his Aunt Jeanette Smith.

A short military burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 8th at 3pm at the Tallmadge Cemetery gazebo for friends and family. The service will be live-streamed on Jack's obituary at donovanfuneralhome.com
