Jacqueline E (Smith) Edwards

Jacqueline E. Edwards was born in Cumberland, MD, October 22, 1931.  She was the daughter of Clarence and Grace Smith.  She moved to Akron, and then to Tallmadge. Jackie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Gene, in 1996 after 47 years of marriage, parents, Clarence and Grace Smith, and brother, Charles Smith. She attended East High School, was a homemaker, and worked at Central News and Akron City Hospital.  Jackie was a member of the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge.

She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Kim Edwards; grand-daughter Tonya Lucas (Todd) and great grandchild, Allyson, and the joy of her life, grand-daughter Courtney Edwards (Wes), and her special sister, Rose "Toots" Dennison of Virginia Beach, VA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Hospice nurse, Jenn, for her loving care and support.

Visitation will be 5 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Avenue, Tallmadge, OH.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating.

Interment at Hillside Memorial Park
