James W. Aurand

James W. Aurand, 93, passed away March 1, 2017.

Born in Canton on January 22, 1924, he had lived in Tallmadge since 1955.

James served in the U.S. Army, retired after 37 years from the Tallmadge Post Office and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents, Fred and Catherine Aurand; brothers, Earl and Fred; sisters, Evelyn, Joyce Minch; granddaughter, Holly Aurand.

James is survived by his daughters, Linda (Terry) Digman of Peoria, AZ, Janice Keeling of Mogadore, Beth (Roger) Riddle of Tallmadge; sons, Timothy (Candy) Aurand of Millersburg, Thomas Aurand of Litchfield, Gary (Paula) Aurand of Millersburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Edward Aurand of Stow; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Lois Aurand; and many nieces and nephews

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory, 73 North Street, Tallmadge with Rev Michael Matusz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
