James Patrick Donnelly

James Patrick Donnelly, 68, passed away August 20, 2015 with his loving family at his side.

Jim was born in Akron on June 25, 1947.  He was a Central High School graduate.  He played football at the College of Wooster and was a graduate of the University of Akron.  Jim was a teacher, counselor and principal with the Akron Public Schools and retired with 35 years of service.

He was the best husband and father, loved and respected by family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Ruby Donnelly and his younger brother, Michael.

He leaves his wife, Diana; daughter, Angela (Michael McOsker); son, Bryan (Tracy) and mother of his children Elizabeth.  He also leaves his two cats, Jordan and Tiger and close friends, Ron Rizzo and Ron Taffi.

Jimmy Akron will be missed by many lifelong friends and his President's Lounge "family".

As an Irishman once said, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal."

A Private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday.
