James "Jim" Frederick Cleavenger, Jr.

James Frederick Cleavenger Jr., 76 of Tallmadge, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend died while in the arms of his loving family Tuesday, February 6th, 2024.

Born August 20th, 1947, in Akron to parents Elizabeth "Betty" and James Cleavenger Sr. James served in the US Army, and in 2012 retired from H.M. Miller Construction after more than 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Gumpl; and sister Sharlene (Cleavenger)/McKelvey.

James is survived by his children Kelly (Frank) Manzo, Denise (Don) Cleavenger, Jamie (Keith) Hamrick, Brooke (Greg) Baxter, James Cleavenger III, and Falishia Cleavenger; grandchildren, Jessica, Aiden, Jacob, Owen, Adalynn, Averie, Gavin, Kolton, and Alanna.

Visitation will be held Thursday February 15th, 2024 from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday February 16, 2024 at the funeral home with interment immediately following at Tallmadge Cemetery.
