James Robert Magaro

March 25, 1945 — June 13, 2015

Munroe Falls    James R. Magaro, age 70, passed away on June 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer while surrounded by his family.  James grew up in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania and was a 1963 graduate of Har-Brack High School.  He earned his Bachelor's Degree in education from Youngstown State University and taught at Southeast Local Schools for 35 years.  James taught Math and Science at Southeast Middle School.  As a sports lover, he coached many successful seasons of varsity football and track.  Later in his life he served as the head of volunteers at the Cleveland Grand Prix.  He was preceded in death by his parents John F. and Jean Magaro.  He is survived by his former wife, Wendy Cooley, his loving sons, Joseph (Jane) Magaro and John R. Magaro; granddaughter, Grace; brother, John D. (Kathy) Magaro, and sisters, Janet (Joseph) Nock, and Linda (Michael) Burg.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 SOUTHWEST AVE. (On the Tallmadge Historical Circle) Friends will be received immediately following the service.  In lieu of other remembrances donations may be given to Pet Guards Clinic, 950 Hardy Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 or  www.petguards.com.
