James W. Poster passed away Monday Oct 2 peacefully at Brookdale Assisted Living in Fairlawn, Ohio.

James just turned 96 in July of this year.  James was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Veronica Poster. He was a corporal in the US Army in the early 1950's and worked for Higbee's at the Terminal Tower until he retired in the late 1980's. In retirement, he traveled to Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

James was a lifelong bachelor and was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Veronica Poster, his sister Evelyn Latine, brother-in-law George Latine Sr., and nephew George Latine Jr. He is survived by his nephews, Joseph Latine, of Killeen, Texas, Albert, of University Hts., Ohio, and Michael Latine of Akron, Ohio. Great nephew Douglas Latine, his wife Jennifer Latine, and their 3 children Nichole, Jessica, and Jason Latine, great nieces Amy Latine of Mansfield, Ohio and Mia Latine of Clemson, SC.

Calling hours will be Sunday, Oct 8th from 2-4 PM at Hennessy Funeral Home at 552 N. Main St. Akron, Oh 44310, corner of York and Main St. Services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio 44310.

The family is asking that instead of flowers you should please make a donation to the Akron Food Bank in James's name.
