James L. Vanpelt

James (Jim) VanPelt of Tallmadge, 85, was reunited with his loving wife, Dottie VanPelt on August, 6, 2021.

Born June 24th of 1936 in Monongah, West Virginia, Jim enjoyed the outdoors. He spent most of his younger years hunting, gardening, bowling and drag racing. In his later years he could be found at flea markets or spending time with his neighbors and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Dottie; parents, Horace ("Bud") and Mabel VanPelt; brother, Tommy VanPelt; sister, Lorraine Moore; granddaughter, Alisha.

Jim is survived by his children, Melissa Novello, Rose Toomey; grandchildren Desirae Novello and James Novello; great-grandchildren Jonathan Etheridge, Nate Etheridge; great great granddaughter, Elaina; sister, Delores (Butch) Moore.

Jim's family would like to thank his neighbors, especially Bill and Mary Rogers for all their help.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday August 13, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m.at the funeral home with Pastor Vince Maltempi officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
