Janice M. Martin

Janice M. Martin, 82, passed away June 2, 2015. She was born in Beckley, W. Va. on September 14, 1932 to Roy and Eloise Arthur. She was the third of four children. After she married Clyde they moved to Akron and raised their family in North Hill. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family whole heartedly and unconditionally.

Nanny was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clyde; sister, Betty; and her brother, Gene. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey and Ronald (Nadine); grandchildren, Amanda (Robert) Cunningham, Samantha (Mike) Bennett, Christina (Joseph) Faust, Jeffrey (Krista), Ronald (Kelly), Daniel (Jennifer); six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jackie Bragg.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
