Janice L. Salmons, 80, passed away December 3, 2021.
Born in Akron, Janice had lived in Tallmadge since 1968. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge. One of her biggest joys in life was being involved with Tallmadge Little League. Jan coached Tallmadge Little League softball from 1975 to 1982, including several All-Star teams, winning three State Championships and placing second in the World Series in 1980. She also served as president of Tallmadge Little League Softball for several years; she touched and impacted many girls lives throughout her years with TLL..
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Selena (Wisner) English, and brothers Edward (Mary) and Walter English.
Janice is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond; daughters, Teri (Steve) Bower of Tallmadge and Traci (former son in law, Mike) Klekner both of Uniontown; grandchildren, Nick and Alex Klekner and Tyler Bower; sister-in-law, Becky English; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle), and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Funeral Service will 11 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
