Jaxx (Kent Hartong) Hartogh

Jaxx (Kent Hartong) Hartogh, 61, of Akron passed away April 17, 2022.

He graduated from Springfield High School, Kent State University and in pursuit of a nursing degree at Stark State. A proud accomplishment was that he made the Fall 2021 President's List by earning a 4.0 GPA. He had passion for cooking (especially pie), art, fashion, fitness (Weight Lifting), and photography.  Jaxx loved to travel, especially abroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale G. and Dorothy J. Hartong.

Jaxx is survived by his sister, Tammy (Bill) Ward; niece, Jennifer (Zach) Troyer; nephew, Christopher (Brittney) Ward; and great nephew, Christian Ward.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Donovan Funeral Home - Mogadore, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, Ohio.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Matthew Parish, 2603 Benton Ave., Akron with Rev. Michael Williamson officiating.

Private interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
