Jeff Pesta, 60, passed away on February 15, 2025. Jeff was born in Medina, Ohio and grew up in Broadview Heights, Ohio. He was an Army veteran stationed out of Fort Hood and lived the last 15 years in Killeen, Texas. Jeff proudly served for the U.S. Army during Desert Storm in Iraq, and also served in Afghanistan. He had an enthusiasm for running and fitness. During his public life in Ohio, he worked at the Caterpillar rental facility in Broadview Heights.
Jeff is survived by his son, Joshua Pesta; stepdaughter, Ashley (Matthew) McIntosh; and siblings, Richard (Pam) Kerney, Tom Kerney, Tim (Michelle) Kerney, Sheri (Tom) Petrosek, Karen (Shawn) Flanigan, Patricia (Roger) Driver, and Edward (Dawn) Pesta.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Dorothy (Jordan); and sister, Linda Purcell.
The family would like to thank the staff at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas for their patience and dedication during Jeff's final few weeks of care.
A private family memorial service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
